GENERAL
Tamás Salamon
An engineer by profession, Tamás has been involved in various positions across mining, construction, finance, telecoms and IT industries. In the last few years, he has focused on process re-engineering and process optimization, delivering value to his management. He leads the Borntosend team as the Managing Director.
Sue van Es
After a short spell previously at Borntosend, Sue joined the team permanently in March 2008. She performs several duties including reception and switchboard.
SALES
Gavin Wilson
Throughout Gavin's career, he has always been involved with the sales and management aspects of business, encompassing a variety of different industries and market sectors. Indeed, this extensive career in sales lead him into the position of Area Sales Manager at NCI, where he received the prestigious award of 'Salesman of the Year' for three years running. For a time Gavin lived and worked overseas, successfully setting-up and managing a business in Spain, and there continued to further his experience in various international sales markets, as well as in advertising, marketing and general business management. After leaving Spain while in the position of Managing Director, he joined the Borntosend Team in August 2003 as a Distribution Consultant, bringing with him this invaluable wealth of knowledge and expertise. Gavin was promoted from Distribution Consultant to Sales Manager in October 2005.
Tracey Patten
Tracey matriculated in 2000 from Sandringham High School, and then started her career at Sure Executive Travel in the position of Receptionist. In 2005 she completed a short term as Sales Consultant at Kirby Rivonia before joining Borntosend in July, initially as Receptionist / Office Administrator and then shortly after as Data Entry Clerk.
Pieter van der Walt
Pieter has been in logistics since 1996, spending 5 years with RTT and 7 years with the Laser group. A brief breakdown of the experience as follows:
1996 - 1998 RTT East London as Air Freight Supervisor
1998 - 2000 Dawn Wing East London as Operations Supervisor
2000 - 2002 RTT Johannesburg as Inhouse manager of Designer, Revlon and Ellebelle, later that year was promoted to Airfreight operations manager.
2002 - 2004 Dawn Wing as Operations manager
2004 - 2008 Moved by the laser group from Dawn Wing to Laser Haulage & Cross Border where he was involved with sales and also transport manager of the Laser Trucks.
His areas of speciality are Warehousing, Couriers (Air Freight), Road Freight and Cross Border distribution. As a sales executive with the Borntosend team, he understands the issues clients experience and works at solutions to overcome these.
ACCOUNTS
Talitha Scheffel
Talitha matriculated from Dinamika High School, and then went on to further her studies by obtaining a Human Resource Officer and Executive Secretary Certificate, as well as a Bookkeeping and Pastel Accounting Certificate from The Academy of Learning. After completing these studies, Talitha then worked in various administrative positions with OCS Industrial Investments, Hartmann-Vitamed and MB Silicon Systems before joining the Borntosend team in March 2003 as an Accounts Assistant. Talitha has recently completed a diploma in computerised bookkeeping from Intec.
Princess Skosana
Princess joined Borntosend in 2007, as Accounts Assistant to the growing finance team. Princess came from a large financial services group and is proving her value at Borntosend.
Sibongile Ncube
Sibongile has performed a number of past roles,including Receptionist and Accounts. She holds a Certificate in A+ and one in Software Engineering. She joins the team with position of Data Capturer and IT Support.
CLIENT SERVICES
Jethro Rodney
After completing his secondary education at Highlands North Boys High School in 1999, Jethro immediately began his professional career, working at organisations such as Fortified Foods, The Liberty Group and DHL. It was here that he was introduced to and gained good knowledge and experience in sales and client based services.Jethro then joined the Borntosend team as a Client Services Agent in July 2005.
Jethro was promoted in April 2008, to Client Services Supervisor.
Maria Prinsloo
Maria matriculated in 1998 from Milner High School in Klerksdorp. Studied further at Damelin and qualified in PC Engineering and Business Management. Started at Borntosend in 2003 as a Receptionist and was promoted to Customer Services shortly there after. Maria left Borntosend in 2005 to pursue other opportunities only to return in February 2008. Maria is currently back in Customer Services and studying Architectural Design and Draughting.
Zola Sikhosana
Zola has previously worked for Allpay, being part of distributing social grants on behalf of the Department of Social Affairs. Zola joined Borntosend in 2007, as a Customer Services Agent. He is in addition, an active member of his church leadership.
Thando Qobose
Thando joined the Borntosend team in September 2007, as Customer Services Agent. She has recently become a permanent member of the team. She is studying towards at law degree at UNISA.
WAREHOUSE
Fikile Narvis
On completing her schooling Fikile went to work for the Times of Swaziland as a daily news reporter, and then joined the Soweto News to further hone her journalism skills. During this time Fikile also attained a Diploma in Computerised Accounts, before moving into various traditional administrative positions whilst employed by Everest System Solutions and MGX. Fikile joined Borntosend in June 2002 in the position of Receptionist. Fikile was promoted to the position of Accounts Assistant in April 2003. From the 15th May, Fikile will be heading up the warehouse operation from May 2008.
Sifiso Narvis
Recent additional to our team, Sifiso has joined Borntosend to perform receiving and dispatching duties in the warehouse. His past experience with Borntosend was involvement in certain distributions.
Ronny Maluleke
In his last year of his studies in logistics at the University of Johannesburg, Ronny is currently complimenting the team as a Data Capturing assistant. His is shortly going to be involved in our warehouse.
